Eden (2002 TV Series)
''Eden'' is a British reality television series that aired on Channel 4 in Spring 2002. The contestants who were all under 30 had to survive in a remote area of the Australian jungle. Format Their numbers were augmented each week by a newcomer selected by the viewers. In the latter part of the series the newcomer then had to select candidates for eviction. The contestants were able to receive email from viewers which led to conflict when negative remarks by incoming contestant Romany Paige were reported to their subject. Contestants The series was eventually won by one of the six original contestants, Cliona O'Connor. The only contestants to achieve subsequent recognition have been ''Crimewatch'' presenter Rav Wilding who actually quit before the end of the series and Johny Pitts, the only male Edenite to last the duration of the show, who went on to present '' CD:UK'', and then for MTV and CBBC. Johny Pitts
Johny Pitts is an English television presenter, writer and photographer born in Firth Park, Sheffield in 1987. Biography He is of mixed-race heritage (his father Richie was from Bedford–Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York City, New York and was in the 1970s soul band The Fantastics (group), The Fantastics, who had a top 10 hit in 1971 with "Something Old, Something New"), while his mother is English with some Irish ancestry. In 2015, Johny Pitts traced his roots in the 2015 BBC Radio 4 documentary ''Something Old, Something New'', a programme written and presented by Pitts, which included an interview with his late father and saw Johny travelling to Bedford–Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, Bedford–Stuyvesant in Brooklyn and Sullivan's Island, South Carolina, Sullivan's Island in South Carolina to trace his father's family. Ravin Mika Wilding (born 16 October 1977) is a British television presenter and former police officer who served with the British Transport Police and Metropolitan Police Service. Vernon Charles Kay (born 28 April 1974) is an English broadcaster and former model. ''Crimewatch'' (formerly ''Crimewatch UK'') is a British television programme produced by the BBC, that reconstructs major unsolved crimes in order to gain information from the public which may assist in solving the case. The programme was originally broadcast once a month in a primetime slot on BBC One, although in the final years before its relaunch in September 2016 it was usually broadcast roughly once every two months. ''Crimewatch'' was first broadcast on 7 June 1984, and is based on the German TV show '' Aktenzeichen XY… ungelöst'' (which translates as ''File Reference XY … Unsolved'').
